Best Times to Visit South Australia

The best time to visit South Australia is from March to May and September through November, during the states autumn and spring. During these shoulder seasons, rainfall is rare and daytime temperatures sit between 16-21 degrees centigrade.

Option 1: Self drive with own vehicle all the way.
(2 wheel drive OK but recommend considering purchasing an extra wheel & tyre for the Oodnadatta Track)
OR Rent a vehicle from Adelaide to Adelaide – add approx $1000 per vehicle for 8 days

Departure Date – Subject to Covid19 & open borders am thinking 26Mar 2021 for optional Sydney-Melbourne add-on or Sat 3Apr in Lorne but where you join/leave is very Flexible

Option 2: Fly to Melbourne + Car/4WD Hire and fly back from Adelaide

Departure Date – Subject to Covid19 & open borders am thinking 1/2/3 Apr 2021 but where you join/leave is very Flexible
